A practicing electrical engineer and optics researcher in Boulder County startups for 25 years, Ms. Ewing was inspired by her robotics volunteering experience and recently transitioned to full time teaching career.  She has taught programming and engineering tech at Flagstaff Charter School for three years, and will be starting a new position at Niwot High school this fall.  Ms. Ewing has also served as a Board member and volunteer coordinator for Flatirons Habitat for Humanity.  An Up-A-Creek Robotics mentor for 11 years, Ms. Ewing serves as the treasurer, coordinates the junior robotics programs and mentors the software team.
